Study abroad FAQs

Quick answers to what students and parents ask us most.

Are your study abroad consulting services really free?
Yes. Our study abroad consultants provide counselling, university shortlisting and application guidance free of charge. You only pay official university and visa fees, and we show those to you transparently before you commit to anything.
Is an MBBS degree from abroad valid in India?
Yes, when you study at a university recognised by the National Medical Commission and follow its guidelines. To practise in India you then clear the FMGE, or the NExT when it replaces it. We only recommend NMC-aligned universities and build exam preparation into your plan.
Do I need NEET to study MBBS abroad?
To practise medicine in India after an MBBS abroad, NEET qualification is mandatory under current NMC rules, whatever any MBBS without NEET advertisement claims. We tell you honestly where you stand based on your actual NEET score.
Can I study or train in Germany without IELTS?
Often yes. For Ausbildung and nursing, German language at B1 to B2 matters far more than IELTS, and many degree programs accept a Medium of Instruction certificate instead. We map the exact language requirement for your chosen route before you start.
How much does it cost to study MBBS abroad?
Total cost usually ranges from about 15 to 45 lakh rupees for the full course depending on country, university and living costs, which is far less than most private medical colleges in India. You get a clear all-in estimate before you decide.
Where can I do CPL pilot training abroad?
Popular options include Uruguay, South Africa, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, the USA and Europe. Each differs on cost, weather-driven flying hours and licence type. Start with the best country for CPL, then we plan your DGCA conversion.
Study abroad, explained

A calmer, clearer way to study abroad

Studying abroad should feel like an opportunity, not a gamble. Yet most families start the process buried in conflicting advice, hidden costs and pushy sales pitches. As study abroad consultants, our job is to remove that noise so you can make a confident, well-informed choice and focus on the future you are actually building.

Choosing the right country and course

The best destination is not the one with the glossiest brochure. It is the one that fits your marks, your budget, your safety preferences and your long-term goal. For medicine that means weighing NMC recognition, English-medium teaching, clinical exposure and FMGE outcomes across countries such as Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.

For other routes the questions change. Germany Ausbildung suits students who want to earn while they train. Nursing in Germany rewards those ready to commit to language learning. Italy and Europe open doors to affordable degrees with work rights alongside study. Aviation is its own calculation entirely, balancing flying hours, weather and licence conversion. Experienced study abroad consultants start by understanding you, then shortlist honestly, never the other way around.

Understanding real costs and recognition

Cost surprises are the most common complaint students have about study abroad consultants, so we fix that upfront. Before you commit to anything you get a clear all-in estimate covering tuition, hostel, living costs and visa, with no hidden university commissions loaded onto your invoice and no last-minute charges once you have already paid a deposit.

Recognition matters just as much as price. An MBBS abroad is only worth pursuing if the degree lets you practise back home, which is why we only recommend universities recognised by the National Medical Commission and listed in the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools. For every program we explain exactly which licensing step comes next: FMGE or NExT for doctors, Anerkennung for nurses, DGCA conversion for pilots.

Support that continues after you land

Plenty of study abroad consultants disappear once a student boards the flight. We do not. Support runs from your first counselling call through applications, offer letters, visa filing, forex and travel, and it continues after arrival with help settling into your hostel, getting a local SIM and preparing for the exams ahead.

That continuity is the difference between a transaction and a genuine partnership. With offices in Noida (Delhi NCR) and Bareilly, and a team that answers on WhatsApp, help is never far away when you or your parents have a question at nine in the evening.

Which study abroad path is right for you?

If you are aiming to become a doctor, start with our complete guide to studying MBBS abroad, then compare specific destinations such as Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. If a hands-on career in Germany appeals, explore study options in Germany and the Ausbildung route. Dreaming of the cockpit? Read about CPL training abroad and the best countries to train in.

Start early: documents, deadlines and timelines

The students who avoid last-minute stress are the ones who talk to study abroad consultants months ahead. Most intakes have fixed windows. MBBS abroad sessions usually begin around September and October, while Germany and European programs run their own admission and visa calendars. Missing a deadline can cost a full year, so we work backwards from your intake into a realistic month-by-month plan.

Getting your paperwork ready early makes everything smoother. You will typically need Class 10 and 12 marksheets, your NEET scorecard where relevant, a valid passport, passport-size photographs and, for some routes, a language certificate. We give you a personalised checklist upfront so nothing holds up your application or visa when timing matters most.

What a first counselling call actually covers

People often expect a sales pitch, so the first call surprises them. We start with your marks, not our brochure. For medicine that means your NEET score, your Class 12 percentage and how much your family can genuinely commit without a loan that follows you for a decade. For Germany it means your current German level and whether you want to earn while training or study first. For aviation it means your Class 2 medical, your maths and physics background, and how quickly you need to be flying.

From there we shortlist three to five realistic options, not twenty. You get the all-in cost of each, the recognition status, how previous students from that university have fared in licensing exams, and what could go wrong. If none of the options fit your budget, we say so rather than pushing you toward the one paying the highest commission. Plenty of families leave that first call deciding to wait a year and strengthen their profile, and that is a perfectly good outcome.

Questions worth asking any consultant before you pay

Ask whether the university is currently listed with the National Medical Commission, and ask to see it yourself rather than taking a screenshot on trust. Ask what the total cost is including hostel, food and visa, not just the tuition headline. Ask who you can call once you land, and whether that person is in India or on the ground. Ask what happens to your money if the visa is refused. Any consultant who cannot answer those four questions clearly is not one you should hand a deposit to.

Why families across India choose University Insights

Choosing a consultant is really about choosing who you trust with one of your family’s biggest decisions. What separates good study abroad consultants from the rest is simple: honesty about your chances, transparency about money, recognised universities only, and support that does not vanish after payment. Those are the standards we hold ourselves to on every single student file.

Whether your goal is medicine, a hands-on career in Germany, the cockpit or a degree in Europe, University Insights is built to guide you the whole way there. Get in touch whenever you are ready to begin, or book a free counselling call and we will take it from your very first question.
